You have an enormous amount of experience with technology and social networking that you apply to your personal and professional environments. I applaud you for the way you are exploring and integrating these tools to advance your skills.
I approached digital tools in the same manner I did with the computer many years ago. I was intimidated by the computer and I was hesitant about embracing this tool to further my students’ learning. I was informed I had to choose technology or find another profession so I chose technology. Some of my peer teachers chose to leave the profession because they did not want to integrate computers. Because I recently entered a Ph D program, I am learning how these tools play a crucial role in enhancing learning for 21st century students.
